AEDG tetrapeptide · literature almost entirely Russian and unreplicated
A synthetic tetrapeptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, designed at the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology from the amino-acid composition of Epithalamin, a bovine pineal gland extract. Almost all of its literature comes from the Khavinson group, was published in Russian journals, and went unreplicated independently for over twenty years. The first independent replication we located is from 2025, done in a London laboratory and only in cell culture.
